What good is that baseless assertion about me? Take it a step further and substantiate that assertion. And, since you want me to follow our God's laws, does that mean you consider those laws to be good ones?

Best you can do with your IQ, no doubt.

Maria was an excellent writer. I doubt any suggestion that she never hit the library or had a set of encyclopedias. She was not a paraplegic or anything. Look at the emotional impact elicited by a JK Rowling or JR Tolken. She was probably just as (or nearly as) imaginative. No angels required.

Of course, someone who writes like that will gain fans. Especially if they feel it confirms their own bias. Some will be super-fans. I don't have the "super-fan gene" but wow, they get really fanatic. Notice the root of the word fanatic, lol. The Disney adults are a fascinating example. Maria, being indoctrinated by Catholics in high-flying, fascist Italy was obviously smitten with the Christ figure.

Now, if an infinitely intelligent and powerful creator exists, I expect a much higher 'proof bar' than personal revelations to an individual from "angels". There are so many better ways of reaching every human being if this is what god wants. Oh, the poor hell-bound Neanderthals. Unless they had a Neanderthal Jesus. They lived and died, had families, and even mated with us. Not to mention the billions of Chinese or Indians. Just not born in the winning place to get to heaven.

So yes, I am open to objective, falsifiable scientific proof. The clergy at my Catholic school, who were trying to get me to join in on the delusion were practically scientifically and mathematically illiterate. They were always trying to get me to stop asking questions. Sorry, I will not. Then I studied the babble in detail. What a mess of contradictions. I also observed the foul nature of biggest proponents of the faith. That was enough to dismiss it all. Every religion by definition proves that great masses of people are dead wrong about their beliefs. I'll just go one more and say they all are. I treasure intellectual honesty, no matter how unsettling.

Every football player with a charcoal cross painted on their stupid face while babies are starving to death is an insult to my intelligence.

I quite agree. What were you doing?

None of that addresses and/or refutes anything that I said in post #108.

You should look up the big words so you don't misuse them. Try harder.

Firstly, "correcting" is not a "big word" and is a commonly used term. Secondly, you should substantiate your assertion that I misused the word "correcting".

You wouldn't benefit from any help I'd bother to supply.

It means quite simply, if you don't follow your gods rules because you deem them invalid, then why follow any of them? What is the purpose of only being a part time believer. Since this is the typical Christian behavior it tells me this religion is not respected by its own, and as such, I dismiss it as the stupidity it is.

I never said that I "deem God's rules as invalid". And, what good is your baseless assertion that I personally don't follow God's laws? Also, do you consider God's laws to be good ones to follow?

I didn't ask you for help. I recommended that you don't leave your assertion as a baseless one.

Why the fuck would I do anything you demand I do? I wouldn't walk across the street to piss on you if you were on fire.
