Those are for the most part either complete failures, or rare gems of art. I can't come to think of any cut-scene game that wasn't a complete failure though.

Beyond: Two Souls, Fahrenheit, Heavy Rain?

Quantic Dream is the only company I can think of that does em' good, but they do them really good.

Never played any of those games, but I do remember Wing Commander 3 & 4 now, those had pretty decent cut scenes and some flying inbetween.

The first game Under a Killing Moon, that I think is the archetype to cut-scene games, was a glorified turd, although not a strictly cut-scene game, that seemed like that was the only thing going for that game.

I miss Star Wars Galaxies, now that was a fun game, at least before NGE. I was sad when they closed it down, even more sad when I played TOR and it was a "meh" game.

Tor was okay, it just didn't feel right. It felt drawn out and non-unique. I usually love Bioware games, but Tor was just not my type of game. It felt...wrong I guess.

Oh my god, I killed so much of my life on SWG. That game was the best MMO of all time... OF ALL TIME!

Oh yeah, I loved Galaxies back in the day, and I was too young to even do some of the cooler things. I used to just run around autoshooting with my commando, thinking that was the way to go.

The endless PVP, clone armor, different planets at night, I loved them all.

The only mmo that has come close to it in terms of fun, at least for me was Pre-cata wow.

RIP Galaxies.

I kind of miss City of Heroes. It was dated, but I liked it more than Champions or DC Heroes. For all their bluster, they weren't any better than CoH. In many ways, they were worse.

I seriously miss it.  I really, really liked CoH's enhancement/inspiration system as opposed to the traditional inventory-clogging gray/green/blue/purple system (CoH did switch over to crafting drops, but even so, there was a lot less loot gripe on CoH than other games).  I liked how you could customize the crap out of your character.  I loved the extremely liberating travel powers, which were incredibly permissive for its time.  And badges.  Man, did I love badges.

Sure, the game was really laggy, was more polygony than the original Starfox, the combat was nothing to write home about, the procedurally-generated maps were terribly claustrophobic and repetitive, and finding that last glowie/enemy to complete the mission was incredibly frustrating.

But dammit, it was a pretty damn innovative game for 2004.  There are lots of superhero games out right now that don't have half the charm that CoH had.

Little bit late but I remember that Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit) had a really good story at the start that really sucked me in. Then I went onto Youtube, saw the Let's Plays, which revealed to me a story that 2/3rds of the way through decided to crawl into a corner and die.

Finally platinum-ed Dark Souls.

I played for a few hours. A boring isometric MMO, tbh. There are far better browser-based MMOs out there.

Bioware have made great progress it seems with the new Mass Effect 4 game, which might or might not have the name of Mass Effect 4.

They said on Twitter that the game was coming along good and of course fans were over the moon when they heard this news.

Casey Hudson was also on Twitter and he was Tweeting with the executive producer and gave us an idea about the development of the game.

"What's even more fun than working on the design of a new fictional world? Taking our first steps into it and looking around," tweeted Hudson.

Hudson talked about the PAX East panel and he had said that Mass Effect 4 was going to take place in a new universe. Fans of the series then wanted to know about the time frame for it.

They got very excited when Hudson sent a message.

"In a milestone review for next Mass Effect game. Team is doing outstanding work. Looks beautiful, fun, ambitious, and Mass Effect-y!"

So at least there is proof that Mass Effect 4 is being developed. Just 6 months previously Hudson had talked about the game being in production, so it seems that a great deal of work has gone into it.

"I like it when a plan comes together. Especially a Mass Effect plan," added Gamble when he had sent a virtual high five.

At the moment we don't know much about it, but it seems that Commander Shepard isn't to play a part in the game. But he may be making an appearance.

Gamers could therefore play a character that has been in the series before, possibly Aria, Garrus or maybe the Illusive Man.

Does anyone have a problem with that?

There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action.

I had a very lengthy response to that, but I accidentally deleted the whole damn thing.

Kalisa Bint Sinan Al Jilani, Westurland news.

Solitary, sources say you support the creation of a new Mass Effect game that does not take place with the old characters, do you care to comment on that?
