I've mentioned it elsewhere, and it wasn't popular there, either. There is no requirement for police to run into a hail of lead from a gunman, any more than there is a requirement for firefighters to rescue a truck driver from a fuel tanker on fire.

Though I'm seeing that the response was pretty much a clusterfuck. Once the chaff settles, we'll see what comes out of that.

The narrative changed.  It was initially "up to an hour", but in reality, was more like 75 minutes.  Not quite movie-length, though, so the meme is wrong.
