Me at a vampire night club: (for us, they're just clubs)



Techno = fine but a bit too newish
Classical = the best ambiance, gives feelings of nostalgia for the older vampires
Metal = great because of the dark, evocative imagery
Pop music = bad in large doses because it's so overly sweet, but the "I want to hold you" lyrics are comedy gold for a vampire
Rock = okay I guess, but no Nickleback
Rap = confusing slang but "I'm the best" bravado is darkly hilarious for a herd animal
Country = the music is like eating a pigeon - rancid and revolting.  Most vampires won't even drain someone in a cowboy hat (but will readily dispatch them if they interfere or witness something)

I remember some movie or other (or maybe it was a commercial) in which a guy asks a waitress what kind of music they play in this club, and she says, "Oh, we play both kinds, country and western."
