Sometimes I can't get the scene out of my head until it's engraved on some other medium. I write short stories just to have an image transferred to pixel and out of my head. I had seven three inch three-ring binders of my stories stolen a few years ago. When the suspect in the thief heard I was looking for him he panicked and threw the binders away, recycle bin. He should have climbed in after them. I hear he's doing lots better these days.

Me: how the everloving frell is the ecology going to work here?  What's the food web?  And oh my god, the economy.  I completely forgot about the economy!  How on Fantasia are people going to put a roof over their heads and food in the bellies here?  And magic is just a shark-jumper because the instant anyone figures out Expecto Reparo, so many people are going to lose their livelihoods...
