Yes, the woman from the well in the 2002 film The Ring that grossed $249.3 million and was an international sensation (preceded by the lesser-known 1998 Japanese film and the 1991 novel), - basically on par with The Exorcist or Poltergeist in terms of influence so it's not like I'm pulling from obscure references here.

Agreed, I'm not a fan of the genre but I sussed that one out based on the first picture. Was the My Little Pony thing in the first one, or a significant "landmark" in any of them? Don't know how far afield the image goes.

It's not related, but the infamous (perhaps not as infamous as I thought) pony jar is a well-known shame by anyone who was in the mlp fandom in 2014 and more generally, basically anyone who was online in 2014.  (It's gross, don't make me explain it)

Basically, the joke is that the supernatural terror is just about to strike but realizes that the human in question is a bigtime weirdo to the point that even they're weirded out.

I've been on line since Desert Shield. Didn't know the MLP thing. AND the jar could belong to a child. Just sayin'.
