The short of where he's going with all that is that flat earthers do not believe the earth is flat because that what they think the shape of the Earth is. They believe it for ulterior reasons. It proves god exists or Jews are evil or whatever it is they actually want to believe, which tends to move around or vary enough from person to person that it's impossible to blanket statement. It's kind of like dealing with a hostage situation by pointing out their socks don't match. It's not about the socks, man.
