Crawdads/Crayfish have more slender claws, not those bulbous pinchers lobsters have.  The image with one in mittens is the exceedingly rare time when that information is useless.

Thoses extra appendages below the "mouth" area, not common to crawdads I've encountered. Especially in the size department.
