I've always had an aversion to the multiverse and many worlds interpretation, exactly because there exists no way to test for them.

Penrose said that, in his conformal cyclic model, the constants might differ from one cycle to the next, making a "spatial" multiverse, unnecessary, since a temporal multiverse would, eventually, make a universe with the numbers we find in ours.
