Is trump racist? Or just xenophobic

All of the above?

He's a narcissist; who's stuck in his emotional teens.  As long as he is getting an emotional buzz from what ever he's doing/saying it's all the same to him.  Decades long liberal Democrat; gave freely to like minded individuals; liked Obama care, and Billary.   Now, he's not, and they're all shit.  He has no hesitation about saying whatever he thinks his listener will buy into, and agree with; thereby validating Trump as right, and feeding his inner narc.  You could fill pages on this forum of shit he's said that is provably not true..................it doesn't matter; they don't care (Trump Tools).  He always means what he says until he says the next thing that contradicts it........................and the Tools still buy his shit.

If he doesn't win in November, and the GOP is strewn behind him like an airliner plowing in the ground at 400 MPH +.....................he'll blame it all on them because HE is a winner, and they didn't try hard enough, vote enough, contribute enough..............THEY held HIM back.

BTW:  He'll still be rich and even more famous...............win/win; baby!!!

Here is an interesting analysis of Trump's personality by a psychologist. He discusses his disposition, mental habits, motivations, self-conception and how he compares to former presidents.

Who, really, is Donald Trump? What’s behind the actor’s mask? I can discern little more than narcissistic motivations and a complementary personal narrative about winning at any cost. It is as if Trump has invested so much of himself in developing and refining his socially dominant role that he has nothing left over to create a meaningful story for his life, or for the nation. It is always Donald Trump playing Donald Trump, fighting to win, but never knowing why.

I liked the article GSO posted, but didn't finish it because it was too long, but also I found it too sophisticated and too elaborate to analyse a man like Donald Trump. This man doesn't have a complicated character. Actually, he doesn't thave a character. I'd go full Freud on his ass and that would be too complicated for him.

Isn't this man from some rich -family who define themselves as some sort of royalty as seen often in a certain kind of rich families with perverted sense of entitlement? (Actually they do not even have to be rich at all, but it helps a lot.) As a boy, it's highly likely Turmp has never had a chance to be around with real people let alone with people from different ethnic groups or cultures, or just sub cultures from his own in a normal environment or had a chance to figure anything out for himself, experience anything for himself or even do anything for himself. This is not just about a family culture but the specific class-culture that family got shaped in and the individual it produced.

Children of these families grow up in an 'isolated' environment and they are usually brainwashed all their childhood -esp. boys- for being some sort of a royal heir. They grow up with an extreme sense of entitlement, a screwed up picture of themselves, and of the real life or people. They do not have to be successful or intelligent or talented about anything at all. And unfortunately usually, kids raised this way are not really bright or talented, even if they have something in them, because probbaly their sense of self is crushed; they do not have the environment, real support or encouragement to do something real. And they do not have a choice. (Of course, in theory they do. However, when you are motivated to do one thing and be one thing from a toddlerhood and raised in a way not to be able to have a personality of your own, you can't make decisions of the sort, because that requires independent thinking, not to mention uncomformity and courage.)

Actually, I believe this man's narcissism is a result of that perverted sense of entitlement colliding with his unsuccessful business life, NOT himself thinking that he is a genius or how awesome he is. He doesn't have a superiority complex, but he has narcissism, because of the general traits I tried to count above.

His narcissism is a narcissism of a monarch. Entitlement. His shortcomings are never to be considered in his mind, because anything he got is his birth right. Something like a god's plan. Hence his way of interaction with masses or anyone possible. Only 'kings' and 'princes' have the luxury of acting this way, because they are 'god's anointed soveriegns'. But he is not acting more than in a way as being an actor, but just being what he think he is; there is no difference for him. What's so lucky for him is that the world is going through a mess that is too fertile for fake monarchs of his sort and racist sharlatans like him on every corner.

For this man, believing in himself or what he is doing IS THE SAME thing with making something up at a spot or striking some ridiculous pose right there when asked a question. There is no difference. He is 2 dimensional. He doesn't have a personality, because he never developed one; he never 'needed' one. And I don't mean he lacks general morals, personal scruples or such. You can be a destructive person -or 'evil' as commonly said- and have a personality. He does not.

That's why he is like made of teflon -as Mermaid said once- and nothing sticks to him. There is nothing for anything to stick to.

Did you notice that the brunette's voice got excited when asked "What if he has a tattoo on his forehead, 'ladies sit here'" and answering "Absolutely". It sounded a bit like that she has the hots for him.

He's not going to become president, but the success he has had getting as far as he has leading up to the elections has set a precedent and guide book if you will for the next xenophobic shit head to run for office. His tactics will be studied in quite some detail by political opperatives and they'll glean what works and what doesn't work. This isn't the last of his type. I fear it's opened the flood gates..
All hail my new signature!

Admit it. You're secretly green with envy.

From your lips to God's ears. My hope is that this has shaken the republican party enough so they work harder getting a decent candidate next time, one that isn't a complete fucking lunatic. Arguably the last viable republican candidate we had was McCain in 2008, who by contrast, seems as republican as Abbie Hoffman.
A cynical habit of thought and speech, a readiness to criticise work which the critic himself never tries to perform, an intellectual aloofness which will not accept contact with life’s realities â€" all these are marks, not as the possessor would fain to think, of superiority but of weakness. -TR

LOL!   I've got a reliable source "inside".  They're telling me the GOP stalwarts and money bags have picked a 13 year old, loud mouthed, bullying braggert to run in 2020.

OOPS!!!   It's Trump!   He's gonna run again!   :asmile:

Heh.  Remember McCain having to counter claims that Obama is an arab?

That's the kind of constituency that the Republican Party has created.  They worked so hard to play on these people's fears and manipulate these people into believing all sort crazy stuff.  And then they're surprised and horrified when they start voting for similarly crazy candidates.  As long as they keep pumping this toxic sludge of xenophobia and fundamentalism, they're stuck with a candidate like Cruz or like Trump every election cycle.

Don't know if he's racist or xenophobic. Too specific. Think "dickhead" as a general category.
Too many syllables. I prefer "prick" when referring to him, myself.

He's both.
Actually he's neither. And that's far worse IMO. He is an intense and driven egomaniac who loves winning almost as much as he loves having everyone else believe that he's winning. So he will be for/believe/support/oppose whoever and whatever he has to in order to achieve his goal. And since his campaign strategy is to appeal to the lowest common denominator as much as possible, he behaves as a misogynist racist xenophobe because that's what gets you the lowest common denominator vote in the US in 2016.

If the lowest common denominator vote could only be had by supporting equal pay for women and universal health care and sensible immigration policy and education reform and effective gun laws, he would be outspoken in his support of all of that.

And again this is problem because in the end, all he wants to do is win. Winning the election is only the first step. Once he's in office his proclivities will instantly switch to whatever serves his own agenda most effectively. And its anyone's guess what that will look like. His loyalty begins and ends with himself. He doesn't give a fuck about you. He doesn't give a fuck about me. He definitely doesn't give a fuck about the country as a whole.

If he gets elected and North Korea makes an him a lucrative enough offer to abolish the US government and make the entire country a territory of Korea, we will all be speaking Korean by the end of the year.

I would argue the same thing about bernie sanders, never in our countrys history has a socialist actually managed to gain this level of political influence, and get this close to a nomination.
