Masks and the military.  An essential part of all soldiers combat gear is the protective mask and protective clothing.  When I was in the National Guard I was the NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) trainer.  One had to have his protective mask on within 9 sec and his protective gear on within another 15 sec.  When in combat gear all soldiers carry a protective mask everywhere.

At least those actually work.  Some geniuses use mesh masks to give the illusion that they're complying with local laws and aren't insane plaguebringers.

And fun fact about the military, they wear masks on the regular with very little fuss.  In fact, they extensively wore masks when returning to America during the "Spanish" Flu outbreak.

It's almost like Trump has a habit of making political issues out of things which weren't controversial until he opened his big fucking mouth...
