Silver.  Works way better.  Don't ask me or my neutral evil alignment why.

We also have these v-neck wool longsleeve shirts to make up for the utter lack of sunlight.  Ngl, they get really itchy.

Lastly, there's only like 4 women - scratch that - 3 women left.  We failed another op and lost the whole ship.  Oopsie.

But don't worry, we're definitely going to win the war against the machines that control the whole planet.  All we have to do is hack into their simulation while risking discovery and death every time, wake people up one by one, retrieve/revive them, do lots and lots of physical therapy, knit some wool, and bam, humanity wins the war and rules over a desolate rock with no sunlight.  Nothing could possibly go wrong.  Unless the machines figure out where we're hiding and hit us with an unstoppable assault, but that would require a traitor and there's no way anyone would...*camera zooms in on Cypher eating mush and sighing*

LOL I keep forgetting how bad that movie is.

Are you working on plot creating (exercise/analysis) or something like that?

Worldbuilding.  I'll make a thread about it.

Morpheus literally warned him that the real world wasn't any fun. That's why he offered him the red pill and the blue pill. One option would show Neo the hard truth, while the other would cause Neo to forget everything and continue his fake life in the Matrix, blissfully unware of the deception.

Vainly begot, and yet forbidden vanity,
Created sick, commanded to be sound."

They sell a lot of blue pills these days.

I wish the director had known more. He only read the back of the paperback before basing a movie on the title. IDIOT.

YMMV but imho he did an amazing job.  That movie is a cult classic and a *wink wink nudge nudge* subversive satire of fascism.  As a straight adaptation of the novel, it's not great, obviously.

I still quote it all the time:  "this place crawls!" for hectic situations, and "someone made a big Goddamn mistake" for disasters, and "frankly, I find the idea of a bug that thinks OFFENSIVE!" for hugely naive/incorrect assumptions.

The movie and the book are completely different. Zimm wasn't a sadist, for one, the training emphasized citizenship, nobody took showered with hot teenagers.

Read the book. You know nothing about it if you haven't read it because there was almost nothing of the book in the movie.

Eh? What did you say? I can't hear you over the shouting.

But I'll speak to G-1 about the noise.
