I dunno though...
There is a huge taste difference between the cheaper olive oil and the good xtra-virgin, cold-freshly-pressed stuff. Especially for cold salads. Twenty bux or so for a small bottle the good stuff. Is it worth it?

Food affectations are fun to watch.
We 'new atheists' have a reputation for being militant, but make no mistake  we didn't start this war. If you want to place blame put it on the the religious zealots who have been poisoning the minds of the  young for a long long time."

Well, to me, yes. We have a few trees by the summer house. I live in the natural habitat of olive, but it is too expensive here too, thanks to corrupted religious gov. Anyway, if I had money, I'd buy the best. I love it. I grew up with that green, bitter extra stuff. Some people think it tastes like motor oil, I think it is liquid gold, lol. Nom Nom.

The full potential range in "tastes" in people can be capsulized in one word "balut". (Don't let Google try to substitute another word for that.)

"Oh, wearisome condition of humanity,
Born under one law, to another bound;
Vainly begot, and yet forbidden vanity,
Created sick, commanded to be sound."

Please, it's nothing that serious, it's just a depiction of sleep paralysis...lol.
