What food items (including drinks) do they have in your local US franchise fast food joints?

(Inspired by a trip to McDonald's in Wanchai, where a Quarter Pounder combo cost $13.58 in 1983 local money.)

We got quarter pounders, only we don't call 'em that. See we got The metric system and shit. So we call it a royale with cheese.
A big mac's a big Mac, only we call it "le" big Mac.
And you know what we put on our fries? Mayonaise. I seen us do it man. We fucking drown 'em in that shit.

FYI, I'm helping a friend. She's writing a story that includes a meeting at a McDonalds on the Moon and she wanted to make it as "international" as possible. Two adults, two kids. The adults are chatting and the kids are ordering things off the menu, just the things they've never had or heard of before. They eat all kinds of strange foods, with predictable results.

Okay, serious then.

Belgium is not quite like America in  fast-food terms.
We don't have KFC, Wendy's, taco bell, burger king, long john, whitecastle, arby's,  ... Heck, we don't even have dunkin' donuts, which is a goddamn shame.
The 'American' ones we have are McDonalds, Pizza Hut and Domino's. I've never been to America, so I can't compare, but I imagine we've got basically the same stuff here as there. With the exception that one can order a beer in all three and that I've yet to see the 'supersize' option offered. Also, I believe junk food is more expensive here than in the US. A normal hamburger in the McDo is, for example, if I remember correctly (I don't go that often), a euro and five cents. A friend of mine told me a normal burger in the US in McDo was a buck.
Other than the American ones we have 'Quick', which is like the Belgian, Southern-Netherland & Northern-France equivalent of McDo, I believe. It's fairly the same kind of burgers.
Oh, and I wasn't kidding about mayonaise. It's fairly popular here, more popular than ketchup.

We eat more junk-food in the style of pita, pizza from Pizza Hut or smaller pizza-deliveries, shoarma, "chinese food", döner kabab, 'kapsalon' (a mix of shoarma meat, vegetables, cheese, fries and sauce all piled into a single tin-foil holder). Sushi is also getting popular, which I can kind of see as junk-food as when we consume it, it's not in healthy dosages by a long shot, and we've got services that bring it to your house.  Also, for lunch, we often eat a "smos", which is a baguette, often with cheese and/or ham, and carrots, tomatoes, lettuce and cucumber and mayonaisse, which is far from healthy despite the vegetables
But most of all, in Belgium, frituren (translated: "fritures" or "friteries") are the most popular source of junk-food. It's where you can eat some damn good fries, depending on the quality of the place you find, and more snacks than you can count; all of which are deepfried. The fries are traditionally fried twice, to get 'em nice and crispy.
Fuck... I want fries now.

You mean like a McBrat or a McShrimp sandwich?

How about a McCurry Pan?

TrueStory

I remember the mcdonalds in Manilla had friend chicken and spaghetti.  I think fried chicken is a world loved food, why not on the moon as well.
Please don't take anything I say seriously.

Lovely! Thanks, beings. If she gets this story done I'll post a link to a copy in this thread.

I have eaten at a McDonalds in Kyoto back in the day.  Had the same Big Mac, but the sauce is different, to appeal to a different pallet.  The secret sauce was different than in the US ... better tasting too.  Generally I find that the US McDonalds uses more sugar, the Japanese want to put soy sauce in everything.
