I have eaten at a McDonalds in Kyoto back in the day.  Had the same Big Mac, but the sauce is different, to appeal to a different pallet.  The secret sauce was different than in the US ... better tasting too.  Generally I find that the US McDonalds uses more sugar, the Japanese want to put soy sauce in everything.
Ummm, yakisoba...

QuoteSushi is also getting popular, which I can kind of see as junk-food as when we consume it, it's not in healthy dosages by a long shot, and we've got services that bring it to your house.

I would like to subscribe to this service, please. I'll take the lifetime membership.

I'm not sure if everything is the same. (No bacon, I am sure I asked) People eat Burger King more than McD though here.

I don't know why, but generally the American fast food here is better than the original in the US. Somebody told me that it is about the meat.

And Turks have a way of turning the general menu closer to the local cuisine. For example, apparently some American pizzerias also sell 'pide'. We already have a lot of local fast food, may be because of that. People do not like too many choices here. The local cuisine is so huge, people do not choose foreign ones and they are a few. Save Italians I guess. Culturally familiar.

I wish there were more foriegn restaurants with affordable prizes. :/

I've seen something called a "black burger" that the McDonalds in Japan offer. The bun and cheese are black because they're made with squid ink. Apparently, squid ink is considered a delicacy there, and it's supposed to taste very good.

That would be kid bait for certain. Thanks.
