Most people categorize Arabs and Jews as non-white.  But like most people before 1900, the Arabs did a lot of black slave trade with Africa.  Today they prefer their indentured servants from Pakistan and Philippines.

I don't think anyone in power stopped with colour when it came to slavery. There are 30 million slaves today and they are pretty diverse.

But then so Muhammed was white?

There are many sahih ahadith that say he was white, Muhammad fits my definition of white trash.

Depending on who you ask, Arabs are either their own race or a subset of Caucasian (of which "white" is a member).
