I woke up this morning to find a pair of falcons, I think they're falcons perched on the fence in the back yard. .the other one flew off just before I could take the picture,  but I've seen them nearby before. Today was the first time I saw them together. .pretty nifty..

Found a cormorant floating in the lake last week. Apparently someone shot it in the back and left it in the water.  They're considered a nuisance bird because they catch so many fish They're federally protected, but SC got a program to let hunters kill them 2 months out of the year to control the population. I'm pretty sure that the program doesn't include hunting them in private, residential lakes though.
Lots of different water fowl around here. .

Something else rather odd. .we have several humming birds that feed at the feeder, nothing odd about that, but what is odd is that even in pouring rain they're still out feeding. .Right now we have a thunder storm going on with the birds still feeding as if it's a sunny day. .

Careful what you wish for. They can do that if they are desperate.

Our country side has many kinds of wildlife, given we are mostly wheat/cattle land.  Many hawks at some times of the year.  We can tell the season by the species of roadkill ;-(

We're thinking about giving her away because she's a pest and pukes up hair balls all the time. .She's pretty though if someone wants a long hair cat..
I suppose I could take her to the taxidermist before shipment.

Brush her with  a slicker brush and get her addicted to petroleum jelly. You won't have much of a hair ball problem if you do that.
We 'new atheists' have a reputation for being militant, but make no mistake  we didn't start this war. If you want to place blame put it on the the religious zealots who have been poisoning the minds of the  young for a long long time."

Don't give her away, it will break her heart. :(

I could never part with my cat, love her to much.

Even when she sits downstairs meowing for me to come down instead of her coming upstairs to sleep here, or going poop in the litter box despite the back door being open, I still love her.

Oh wait, this was about falcons, right, urm..

Mmm, better.

Cats are grand.  Had one for over 20 yrs.; part Siamese, so he talked a lot.  Miss that conversation.  The dogs we have are furry children.  He was a furry-god, for he ruled the house--dogs and all.  Cherish your cat, Munch--and I know you do.

Our cat likes me more than Sylvia even though I don't feed her or clean the shit box and Sylvia's had her for 6-7 years. She sleeps right at my feet every night. I guess I just know how to pet a pussy right..

Dam right, she's a real queen ^^, she even keeps my nephews in line when they get to grabby. You know one of the best moments for me, was the first time my boyfriend was here, he sat on the couch, she was sitting on the back of the couch, and she started rubbing her head against his. It was like.

Don't give her away, APA. She'll get depressed and will be very unhappy. What if they gave you away, because your hair is long and it shows around the floor when you loose any? Cats puke hairballs all the time, yours probably do more because of her long fur. About being a pest... Who isn't?
