1. An Honest Liar (Netflix)

Regarding James "The Amazing" Randi

"I’m going to attempt to convince you to watch An Honest Liar without revealing any important plot twists or lying to you about what makes it incredible."
It’s a strange myth that atheists have nothing to live for. It’s the opposite. We have nothing to die for. We have everything to live for.
-- Ricky Gervais

Listen, Big Deal, we've got a bigger problem here. Women always figure out the truth. Always.
--Han Solo, The Force Awakens

SGOS

I'd watch it in a minute, although I ended my subscription to Netflix when they changed their business model.  It's kind of odd that stage magicians, who make their living out of deception, should be such advocates for honesty and truth.

SGOS

I believe a movie called The Ledge, not to be confused with an unrelated movie, Man on a Ledge, was the most profound atheist movie I've ever seen.  I hope I didn't reverse the movie names.  I get them confused sometimes.

I know of which you speak; Charlie Hunnam, Liv Tyler, Patrick Wilson.

Excellent addition. A fundie preacher meets an atheist who ends up with his wife. Pretty sure this is on Netflix, currently, it's a good movie save for the whole....well, watch it yourself.

I thought Avatar was an atheist movie with the Navi being spiritual and one with nature. This is the way I think religion should be, with no God but the natural world being sacred.
There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action.

My poor atheist friends...haven't any of you ever heard of the greatest atheist film-maker of all time? Luis Buñuel? He was an avowed atheist and many of his films were highly critical of religion...but very humorous and intelligent at the same time.

I recommend:

1. The Milky Way

2. Nazarin

3. Exterminating Angel

That religion would be depressing then, given how so much rainforest gets cut down to make the daily mail.. *shiver*
