Hey everyone I'm a former Christian

Hi guys,

I'm a 25yo Black male (reason I stated my race is because there aren't many black Atheist). I was raised in a Christian Baptist family for about 22 years of my life, these past three years I've been contemplating my life as a human and religion and spirituality played a big part in it. I went from being curious, to being an Agnostic leaning Christian, back to Christian and then back to Agnostic. Now I'm totally ready to deplete my life of religion altogether but I think I need a lot of help. I'm not the smartest person out there, in fact I would say I'm quite the opposite of being smart lol, so I really don't know much about Atheism and the dynamics Atheism follows but I am a really good learner. I joined this site to get help, research, make friends, network, laugh, and to understand the Atheism movement so I can then return the favor and help others that are new to Atheism just like I am!

So yes I'm a noob as they say! Bare with me around these forums, I might say or ask weird things but that's a part of me learning!

We made sure that "an Infidel Guy Project" remained in the header, because he deserves the recognition. Any you are right- I knew many black Christians, including a pastor I was a youth leader under as a Christian. Not many black atheists, which is sad.
