Arrogance is the most stupid point of view

At least that is from my point of view.  At its extreme it becomes the mind of the sociopath.  At its least it makes us stupid and limits understanding we might gain from others and from within ourselves.  Mike has very aptly pointed out for me that he observes me as talking down to people.  I can understand that but what I am really doing is seeking to become more detached within myself such that I might gain greater understanding and interract in more thoughtful ways.  And I am not referring to being polite though I could clearly improve in that area as well.  Arrogance clearly ties into religious views an atheist views as well.  What do you think about arrogance?

I know that I am and yet I struggle to rid myself of it.  It is easy within myself for it to go unnoticed.  This was aptly pointed out to me by the Hindu person who humbly stated in regard to the stupid joke that I had posted by simply stating "Such jokes should not be made."

Simple. It doesn't. Saying that you don't know or acknowledging that we don't have enough information to know is not arrogant. It's actually humble and realistic.

  With a perfectly azure sky as the background, Termin resplendent in a custom made tux, perfectly polished shoes, and a walking stick with a perfect diamond on top floats from above, descending  slowly , or perhaps it only seems slow as the anticipation of his arrival is palatable,  the sun seemingly shines only upon him, making his green eyes sparkle like emeralds.

   As he descend gracefully like a feather he steps upon the earth,  birds create then sing songs only for him, wildlife from all around state in awe at this wonder. Flowers change colours simply in an attempt to get his attention.

  He clears his throat, the birds immediately stop singing, not daring to interrupt him.
