After researching the internet, I can't believe how many cases of police misconduct and brutality there are. We really are becoming a fascist police State already. It isn't just happening to different races, but to gays, woman, and anyone that is different. With the inhumane torture our government does and invading other countries, and the extreme prejudice our police are showing, I feel we are one step from being like Nazi Germany. Look at our private prison system that incarcerates people that aren't really hurting anyone, but because there are stupid laws on the books.   :fU:

It's been this way for a long time. The difference between then and now is the camera and cops, given the chance will gladly destroy evidence of misconduct  as they have for years. The vast majority of people never have to deal with police and so assume that police are there to protect them from 'the bad guys' and never bother to question police motives nor who the bad guys really are. It was the cameras that got the civil rights movement the momentum it did in the 60s and then came shows like COPS which was pure propaganda used to demonize minorities and poor people as all drunken crack heads.. The camera works both ways.
