Hello! My name is Brenden Leahy, and i'm (obviously) new to these forums. I joined because i want to have a community of fellow atheists to have theological debates, help me understand certain parts of atheism because i don't know too much about things like evolution ( I know the basics and a little of the more complex parts but some of it i don't necessarily understand) and such. I understand your reasoning there, i do it more as a reason to understand why people believe their faith and see what they think of certain atheistic views and such.

And as far as the evolution thing, i am focusing more on the part of 'how did will evolve' and other arguments that most theists use in theological debates with i have not found on google, sorry for the non-clarification :p

I'm not the right one to ask on how to debate religion. I simply refuse because it's like telling a big smelly turd it looks and smells like a rose. Maybe it will when it fertilizes the ground and a rose bush grows in the place, but I don't have the patience for that shit.. Pun intended.

Atheism is nothing more than the lack of belief in a god or gods. Thats it.

Anything else you want to tack on there is your issue. There are atheists who believe in alien abduction, energy healing/crystals, "truthers", and a whole plethora of wackadoo shit. Where you fit in is your issue.

Welcome aboard korantano! Atheism has nothing to do with evolution or the supernatural that require irrational and magical thinking. Atheist do not believe in the supernatural of any kind period! How can anyone that is alive in the natural world know anything about a supernatural world, even if it did exist?  All our knowledge comes from the natural world, only ignorance and speculation comes from our imagination, and without evidence it's silly at best to think magic really exists.  Solitary

First lesson: atheism is a non-belief in god/s. That's it is not also a belief in evolution. You can be an atheist and not believe in evolution.
