A week ago I made the mistake to write a one line 'how have you been' pm to you, since you were staying with a fucking idiot and all that. Forum gives a red message, something like 'your pm is blocked by this user'. So it looks ridiculous when you post to me.

Oh.

I just had PM's turned off.

I don't use that feature much, anyway, so it seemed like a waste.

What Jeez? This is not about your pm being closed, anti. It doesn't say 'this user's pm is disabled'. It says ' this user blocked your pm' which would be taken as something personal by everyone who got it.

Fair enough, but I didn't write that message. It's what the software sends automatically.
