Why do ugly people and incels believe in evolution?

If you are ugly or an incel and can't get laid, then natural selection apparently didn't favor you. So what's the point in believing in evolution. It seems kind of masochistic, like a Jew believing in Nazi political theory.

A thing doesn't stop being true just because it didn't work out for you. Capitalism hasn't favored me very much, but it will continue to exist no matter how much I dislike it.
