The Onion buys Infowars. This is Not an Onion Satire (I hope)

They will use it to mock the insanity of conspiracy theory, misinformation, and harmful effects of fake news. Their purchase at the auction is done in conjunction with some other firm that I'm not familiar with.

The article itself sounds like an Onion satire, but it broke in the New York Times with the approval of Sandy Hook parents who's law suits against Alex Jones put him into bankruptcy.

I just read about The Onion's buy-out of Infowars, so I guess it's legit. Also, Jones has to pay nearly a billion dollars to the families he defamed!
