Because the verses directly addressing that child sexual abuse is an abomination have been subverted by Christian leaders to abuse gay people. It's a huge fuck up, especially egregious in light of the fact that the specific child sexual abuse that's an abomination in the Bible was between a priest and a young boy working in the same church.

The word Pedophile, or pedophilia are being used a bit loosely.

The simplest way to start here is by saying it is an attraction, not an action.
Next even if you do not know this there are many people who are pedophiles, but do not take action on their attractions. I never have taken action on those sort of things, and at the end so far, 98% of the time to begin with, I always ended up going for the opposite in age difference, what I mean is I always preferred a few years older than I. Many times it was often near to 10 years over, and my life-partner was 22 years older than I.

Maybe I did not make it clear. Before I type much, I don't like this forum, does not even feel as though I can reply to anyone directly. But my Pedophile attractions are actually minimal compared to everything else, or was that not clear? Even with the majority of what I have on my computer, it should be obvious my interest in that sort of thing is quite minimal at best.

I am a plushophile way before anything else, even human. Trying to keep the (s) word or details out as much as I can, but a stuffed toy cannot grow up messed up for life. I real person can.

Another thing about it is, I never asked for it, nor did I ever want it in the first place. People no more choose that then Gay/Straight/Bisexual and so on.
Trying to keep sexual things out, as I am sure it is against the rules, it often is, unless you are on a site for it. But I am hope this is not going too far I prefer Stuffed Toys to humans, and hopefully I did not go too far already.

Maybe a better term to describe what you're into is "age play." Or maybe just don't talk about it. I tend to be more open minded about these things, as long as you're not causing harm, but entering a community and saying, "I'm a pedophile" generally isn't going to get you a lot of friends.

Also, this thread has basically been derailed now. It was supposed to be about the apparent tie between Christianity and pedophilia, and how churches tend to protect their abusers. Now it's become about you.

I did not mean to make it about me.

And no matter what, as long as you are attracted you are still technically a pedophile. The word does not mean abuse, it is an attraction, but that is being ignored as if it always follows abuse, it does not.

The other point is that they can be both places, not just in Christianity, and not all of them abuse anyone. If anyone is bothering to read anything, most of what I have is allowed on Inkbunny, and they are actually very strict about humans period. Not even (18) on (18). People need to stop associating pedophiles as abusers, they are not the same thing. I never ever abused one time. It doesn't make me less attracted, but the choice comes into it whether or not to abuse, I chose not every time. It hurts a real person, so I don't do it. I don't even collect any real stuff, as listed the number is (0).

There's a lot of people with these feelings, I am trying to show there's a difference from an abuser and just a person who is attracted.
