Yep, here I got another rant to do. This one is going to be a double rant for this post, so please bear with me. The first one I'll be ranting about some guy who took a disagreement personally:

I was on YouTube back in 2018, I stumbled upon a video with the title "I just lost half of my right brain cells making this" with clips of Baby Einstein. I hated that show so I decided to type my opinion on it, stating it was cringe, complimenting on the title. It was my honest opinion after all. The person who made the video took it personally and said "said the guy who makes cringey vids, REKT don't mess with me".

My first reaction was what the actual fuck? I replied to him that he wasn't funny and I explained to him what I actually meant, that I hated the show and that it was garbage, not his content. He once again took it personally and replied "you're not funny either, I'd rather be proud of a baby show than be involved with my little DED anyday, Baby Einstein is my childhood, how dare you insult my favorite show! You suck anyway, now scram you little rugrat!".

Then he added "and it's Brainy Baby, dummy". I was shocked at his brattiness and arrogance. I would respect his opinion since he has his differences, but his rude remarks and insults drew the line for me. He thought he was being smart by insulting me and a show I like by labeling it as inferior. I, on the other hand, was not insulting him, all I did was state my opinion on the show, and it wasn't intended to be an attack on him or his content.

Furious, I told him to fuck off and if he doesn't like my content, then he should not have watched it anyway. What I should have said was "what's wrong? Did I hurt your wittle feewings? The fact that I have a different opinion offends you so much? That you take a disagreement over something minor as a personal attack to the point where you have to insult me and others? You think it makes you look like a badass, don't you? Buddy, you're sorely mistaken! You can tell me to leave all you want but I'm not going anywhere, pal! Your inability to accept reality just makes you look insecure! The only person from what I'm seeing who needs to gtfo is you! From the way you act, you must actually be a 13 year old, either that, or you're a lazy slob who lives in his mom's basement, lol! Seriously dude, get a life!"

I would've been more satisfied by that, but I'm not going back to please this asshole. And I honestly doubt he's actually changed at all.

Now on to my second rant:

This one is recently, about a couple of days ago. I stumbled upon a website where a user states that he unsubscribed to a Reddit site named r/politicalcompassmemes in which he states that it's way too conservative and bigoted. Many people in response have mocked him for it. Here are a few examples:

One person has replied: "It's funny how everything you disagree with becomes offensive to you, so apparently anything you don't like MUST BE conservative!"

Another has said: ""People are saying things that I disagree with, so I'm offended and I want people to support my agenda!""

Another stated: "dude, this is like one of the only places where people on the right can express their opinions without getting permanently insta-banned, what's the big deal?"

And one said: "no, he literally "unsubbed" because he made threats to people who mock furries saying he was going to kill them, and then when they rightfully called him out for it, he rage quit and left. None of what he has stated is even true!"

Now here is the difference between the following two "disagreement" conflicts. For the first situation, that was justified because the main quarrel was over a show, just a stupid old show. Nothing to complain about, you can be free to express your opinion on a show without having to insult other people for it.

The second one, on the other hand, was involving a website in which many users would post and share harmful material that targets and ostracizes specific groups of people, particularly minorities. And the common defense for being called out for behaving racist, misogynistic, homophobic, etc. is that those who address the behavior "cannot handle a disagreement". This is just sad as it shuts out the voices of minorities and paints them as "snowflakes".

Of course, I wanted nothing to do with the site, because I had already closed my Reddit account over a year ago. Vent over.

I know this is starting to get annoying but I have perhaps one more rant I need to get off my chest:

I came across a comparison of gendered videos regarding little kids who throw tantrums (a normal thing among children), but there is such a double standard between sexes. Between boys, they're far more sympathetic and defending saying "hey you don't treat my brother like that", but with girls, the treatment is a lot more brutal calling her a spoiled entitled brat because apparently that's how all women act.

And if you dare defend her, you'll get these wtf and "you're delusional" reactions. It's even more obvious between siblings because when it's a younger brother annoying an older girl and she does something to shut him up like playfully kicking him below the belt, she gets these responses "wtf is your problem? You just kicked your brother in the balls just because he's annoying? Sounds psychotic but ok." and "who in God's name would dislike such a comment? That was 100% truth!".

But if it's a younger sister annoying an older boy and he tried to kill her, the responses are much different "serves her ass right for being so entitled and annoying, what a cunt" and "I don't blame the older boy for wanting to kill her, she's such a bitch and a waste of carbon footprint anyway, why didn't his parents just abort her?!".

And even in super light instances of siblings argue, many people would always, ALWAYS root for the boy, no matter the age! For example, if an older boy is bullying his younger sister, everyone will always paint the little girl as the villain, no matter what. Even if the girl is polite or right, everyone will shit on her. Such examples are "you're either the baby of the bunch or you're the only child lol" and "are you retarded?! You're sympathizing over an entitled bitch who has no business in her brother's privacy?!".

Also these same assholes will call the older girl stupid and annoying and entitled for refusing her brother anything. And then apparently it's sexist towards men and so the female-targeted product must be shit according to these men.

It sickens me over this double standard bullshit. It also sickens me that the misogyny is rampant all over the internet because whenever women want things to themselves, they're apparently little shits according to whiny grown ass manchildren, but it's totally justified if it's a boy and the girls don't mean shit and it's fine if an older boy bullies his younger sister or even try to kill her, because according to their logic, men are superior to women, and older siblings are superior to younger siblings and only children, but only if they're boys.

Ugh!! Why do people think it's ok to shit on younger siblings and only children despite the fact that older siblings and grown men can be pieces of shit, even moreso? I will never know...

Ok, another rant I want to get out of the way. I despise the phrase "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". It's just so ignorant of change that happens all around us, and people will make up excuses on how it's not supposed to happen.

And it don't mean shit about what you're trying to explain, because everyone else thinks they know what it means better than you do. For example:

OP: "Kind of goes without saying but not replacing old stuff can be very dangerous. Letting things go until they break can be more costly and lead to more problems than if you fixed something that wasn't exactly broken but you anticipated possibly failing after a certain amount of time. This saying isn't wise but stupid and dangerous."

Replier: "The saying doesn't imply maintenance is unnecessary, you potato. It's meant to urge common sense. Which is no longer common. You're walking, talking, redditting proof of that. As a result of unintended consequences, replacing them without need can also be dangerous"

OP 2: "Here is the wiktionary definition of the saying:

"Leave something alone; avoid attempting to correct, fix, or improve what is already sufficient (often with an implication that the attempted improvement is risky and might backfire)." If the saying was actually followed, humans wouldn't have progressed beyond the Stone Age"

Replier 2: "Yah about that.... The saying is ment to mean don't tear something apart that works. Like if you have a toaster that works fine why would you open it?

That being said if you improve something like making the toaster sing and dance as it toasts your bread that's a good thing"

It is not meant to be taken literally, but is always applied to situations in which you could possibly make something better. So again my point stands: if early humans decided to live by that saying and it's meaning, they would have never progressed.

This is what I despise about people misunderstanding the meaning and instead take it literally as if they know better.

Well, muskets still work but I wouldn't want to invade Iraq with one. I still have an old tube TV in the garage. I bet it still works but I'm not gonna watch it. I doubt The Salvation Army would even take it. But there are cases when new actually is inferior to what we already have so I think there are cases when the saying applies.

Oh yeah, Good point, my mistake because we actually give to the Goodwill instead of the army these days as well. Sometimes I give stuff to a local animal shelter even though I think it may xtian thing because their banner has a cross.

One more rant I need to get off my chest. I am so fed up of people telling me that I should not denigrate anybody without giving any proof that they deserve it. It's the same shit every time, "if you don't give detail, then do not denigrate anybody". Hell, they'll even tell me that even though I HAVE given detail. Like fuck off! This is my experience. They're just upset because they don't like to see me get angry even though they're okay with them feeling the same way!

Nothing's good enough for them. "We cannot allow you to denigrate ANYONE without giving MORE DETAIL", no fuck you, I've given you all the detail I can give you. I don't have all the time in the world to spill everything in a heartbeat! I have a life too! And it's busy as hell! If you would just shut your goddamn mouth and listen to me, maybe you'd understand. Unless your ego is too fragile to actually listen.

I have been trying to "turn on" my piddly pension since October. They outsourced the administration to another firm that receives its snail mail at a different street address than the one where the phone people labor at. Somehow documents never show up. That's a hell of a forum war there, Nope... Vegan circle jerks!
The best part was when cheese is referred to as "fermented lactations", lol. I have cut back on cheese on my doctor's recommendation. I was a silent "near vegetarian" for a good while, but I disappointed my newly-vegan friend when I ordered sushi or a BLT when we met for a bite. I also mentioned I really was not interested in purchasing her hemp jeebus sandals like she had on. I like my shoes and boots. We don't talk much anymore; to each their own. Yeah, it is kinda like a religion, they get excited about it, but most will at least mellow out over time.

One time she sprung out of my car at a stop-sign to relocate a gopher tortoise sitting in the opposite lane and she could have been run over if that driver wasn't paying attention. We had them on our property, but the wetter weather of late has chased them to dryer grounds.

As per my original rant it looks like I will finally be getting my correct pension in April after filing a complaint with the Dept of Labor and spending hours on the phone. The bastards lost the battle of attrition.

I got into an argument with an MRA (men's rights activist) who jumped to conclusions in a post I made on a different forum, I tried explaining to him politely, but he kept screaming at me and being hostile towards me.

Then the idiot called me a strawman and contradicted himself. I called him out on his bullshit and yet he still wouldn't shut up, he kept calling women misandrists and extremists and exaggerating the so-called misandry.

I don't feel sorry for him one bit anymore. He was obviously trolling so I blocked and reported his ass. >:D
