I read online that Kentucky has the highest inbred issues "Despite how people meme on Alabama being the one for some reason"

But point is, majority wise most Americans seems to kinda be into it. Its wrong for sure but i dont get the whole insult on South being into it when it seems to be a bad thing in general that people should work against rather than score cheap points

It's just summarizes accessibility to potential mates. For the first century the South was half slaves and rural. Northern urbanites had a way better selection.

Small isolated towns always have some small degree of inbreeding, no matter how careful the people in those towns might be.  In West Virginia, for example, there are people living in the back woods that don't even know there is a town over the next ridge a mere 10 miles away.

Rural areas are prone to both having smaller towns and those towns being further apart.
