Nothing particularly intelligent happens on facebook.  It wasn't designed for that.  It was an outgrowth of Zuckerberg's sophomoric need to publicly rate college coeds pictures from the student guidebook.

In the future, the Internet is Pravda and Porn.  Are we there yet?

I've never used facebook despite having an account, its never been something I look to for conversation or purpose outside of knowing a couple of friends.

I would guess it is only about ex Muslims who are telling the truth about Islam.
Which is of course is forbidden.

I don't think ex Christian atheist will be affected. Dissing Christianity is OK.
No one was massacred lately for disabusing or leaving Christianity.

Criticising Islam carries it's own health warning.

Facebook is a free service. They have every right to remove anything they want from their site. The claim that a free website removing content equates to denying basic human rights to someone is absolutely absurd and possibly a tad bit comical in a very sad kind of way.

Why is everyone so anti-Facebook these days? Is that the new cool thing to do? Ok, lemme give it a shot:

Wait..posting outright lies and slander on Facebook about family members and anyone else you don't particularly like isn't a god given right? I'll be damned..

I noticed this is in the government section.. Since when is what Facebook does or doesn't do a function of government?  By signing the petition am I telling my government to tell Facebook what to do or not do? I sense it's miscategorized which is not to be confused with Mrs Categorized..

Its pretty normal for facebook. The people that use it, just use it. They don't see the need to sing its praises or otherwise announce the fact that they use it. But they people that don't use it? They tend to consider themselves mavericks of the modern age and aren't the least bit shy about telling everyone how cool they are for opting out every chance they get. So ask a question about facebook on some other form of social media and you'll get two answers from those intending to help and about ten answers from those can't help and are only posting because they want you and the rest of the world to know how cool they are for not using facebook.

You see the same kinds of things occasionally from vegans when it comes to questions about cooking meat. "Oh I wouldn't know, I don't eat meat.' Well if you don't eat meat, why the fuck are you soaking up bandwidth posting in a topic about how to cook meat?

Never had FB or twitter accounts........................if I want people to know stuff about me I'll just put it up on a billboard next to the freeway.

I've always kinda laughed about both of them; given the sensitive employment I've had since '04..................all of my employers (and several of our clients) have made it more than clear that should ANYTHING regarding the project appear in social media.............you'll be given a very short  amount of time (as long as it takes the axe to fall) to explain yourself.   I can think of at least a dozen former coworkers who decided to share "whatever" on FB or T..............as the saying goes.........................aisle or window?  chicken or beef?  DDOOHH!!

I think I had a facebook account for a week or so--my daughter suggested I try it.  It was so inane that I simply stopped going.  I guess I have an account--don't care.  I never go there.

No, it's not cool to dump on facebook.  The people who use it are the in-crowd.  They are the ones who pass as cool.  Or at least they are proud of how they can communicate with their friends, which they never realized was possible with e-mail.  We just dump on them.  Facebook itself is harmless click bait.
