hello… So I’m pretty much in my way to being atheist. I mean I’ve realized all the bs and what not but there’s one thing holding back from completely committing. There are sooo many celebrities and just regular people praising and worshipping the devil. I have never seen any atheist videos explaining or talking about those stuff. Everything is always on God… Do you have any advice or videos on this?

People who worship anything, aren't atheists. Satanists believe in a non-existing deity called Satan ... like Santa Claus, only worse. Think of the Evil Robot Santa from Futurama.

It is up to your own personal development, to swing one way or the other. I can only wish you the best, as a fellow traveler in the human adventure. I happen to be an irreligious theist myself ... but I have flirted with atheism in my youth. Don't get stuck on any one thing, you don't know where you will end up tomorrow.

Welcome. The label 'atheist' means that one does not think a deity or any kind exists. Therefore we are a--theist; not a theist. A person who was a satan worshiper would be by definition a theist---not an atheist. Atheists don't have their own church. And atheists don't have one set of rules to live by--the only thing that unifies atheists is that one thing--don't think a god/gods exist.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent,
Is he able but not willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able or willing?
Then why call him god?

As far as I know, most of the pop culture references to the devil are just for show - to seem risque - and are not serious. For example, heavy metal use of "devil horns" and devil imagery. Early on, the genre was criticized as "the devil's music" and some metal bands ran with the accusation.

Satanists do exist, but very few of them actually worship the devil, since that would imply an adherence to Christian mythology. Most satanists don't believe in the existence of either god or the devil. Instead, they view satan as a positive symbol, a representation of non-conformity, individualism, and ambition - the polar opposite of perceived Christian values of conformity, humility, and self-denial.

Atheists don't worship the devil simply because atheists don't believe in the devil.

As has already been mentioned, Satanism actually has very little to do with Satan is speaks to a more anarchist/individualist movement.

How can you be sure my refusal to agree with your claim a symptom of my ignorance and not yours?

Atheism is not a thing you commit to. There is no decision to become an atheist. After doing some soul searching, and you realize that you really don't believe in a god, or more specifically, that you have a blank space where others actually believe, you will realize you are an atheist. It's something you discover inside you. It is not a choice. Realizing you have no belief would tell you that you are an atheist. If on the other hand, you really do believe in a god of some sort, be it the Christian god or a mighty evil demon, you are a believer. In other words, a theist.

Think of it this way. Some people, everyone to some degree, might at times experience an empty hole inside them. Some people fear the hole because God forbid, it's empty! Cant have that! So they try to fill it with something. Some fill it with chaos; They are the chaos junkies. Some fill it with religious obsession; They are the fanatics. Buddhist Monks use the empty space to experience quiet serenity. An Atheist gets a hobby.

Why would what celebrities think stop you from becoming an atheist? You wouldn't believe in god just because celebrities do, so why is it any different when they "worship the devil"? Why would that prevent you from becoming an atheist?

I think he's talking about stuff like this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOubzHCUt48

Kesha says that she didn't want to make that video and was pretty much forced to. There are loads of other videos by pop artists with similar stuff in them. The people in charge of the music industry are clearly pushing the glorification of Satan. Maybe this is just their way of mocking Christianity? I don't know. You see a lot of Kabbalah stuff in the videos too. In Coldplay's videos. You have a Kabbalah tree of life in one of Ariana Grande's videos. Kabbalah stuff in Rihanna's video mixed in with Anti-Christ stuff in the same video. In a bunch of other people's videos. You have Beyonce, Nikki Minaj, and others talking about being possessed and controlled by spirits.

What does all of this mean? I don't know. I guess it just means that the music industry and Hollywood are not very big fans of Christianity.

Lol no shit they're not fans of Christianity. There are only a few hardcore xtians and the rest are either Jewish or atheist.

Are you typing this from 1984? Nobody believes that there are devil worshipers everywhere anymore, mostly because there aren't and never were.

I don't think I've ever heard of anyone "committing" to atheism. It's not a commitment one makes, at least not intelligently. It's a realization that the idea of magical fairies in space running around taking a keen interest in our every sexual encounter is a ludicrous one. I never made a conscious decision to become an atheist. I simply outgrew belief in magic. If you truly become atheistic it will not be a choice you make, it will be a realization you come to.
This sentence is a lie...

The 1980s came to and end, when the de-programmers all got de-programmed by other de-programmers. It was a kind of Singularity ;-)
