Since it was requested, here are some of my crappy originals.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that I haven't composed an original piece in nearly 3 years, mainly due to working on song remasters for my friend's "Custom Wars" project. But since it was brought up in the last thread, here are some original (albeit old) songs I have made. Be gentle...

This is nearly my entire body of original work. I've left out five or six that I want to forget I ever made, but my channel is pretty easy to dig through if you're really determined to find everything.

Wow, congrats, you have quite some talent. Just make sure you nourish it, let it grow, and never abandon it.

Song remasters? What's that then?

I listened to all of them. I don't play a lot of video games, but these sound like video game tunes to me. I think you should continue writing.

I admire your ability to finish a tune. Out of hundreds of synth based tunes, I've finished very few. I figured if someone wanted them, I'd finish them. However, like artists, songwriters seem to be everywhere. I'm hoping to get local musicians sober enough to play some rock with me in public. I've been told I have a bar to play in if I can just get a band together.

Basically re-doing the songs in higher fidelity. The artists on the original project always rendered their pieces in a way that left them sounding very... "scratchy," for lack of a better word. Plus a lot of their instrument choices were rather questionable, especially when it came to electric guitars. (Fake guitars are difficult to work with as it is, but it's like these guys didn't even attempt to make them sound good.)

I guess it's true what they say about artists hating their own work, then. I'm always a bit embarrassed to show off my work. (Part of why I waited so long to put these up.)

Nice there's some good tracks there. I also make electronic music, but i mainly do IDM/braindance and ambient style music, or rather aspire to since most of the artists in the genre are really proficient. Here are 3 samples from some recent work in progress stuff.

Ah, that makes sense.

And I couldn't agree more about the guitar thing. I've more or less completely stopped trying to fake electric guitar parts. I used to try to get friends and relatives who can play to add guitar to my stuff. But I got tired of asking, having them say they'd play on it but then it would never seem to happen so I just stopped asking. Instead I bought a stratocaster from craigslist (and several other guitars since). I'm not much of a guitar player at all, the absolute basics is all I know. But I've gotten ok at figuring out how to play little bits and make them sound like coherent parts. And when I need something more intricate or accurate than what I can produce on guitar, I usually find something other than guitar or a sample trying to sound like a guitar to get the part done.
