"Actually" christians are an embarrassing group of people with a grand arrogance in their fairy tale that they ignore the history of religion.
They claim all the other "gods" are made up, ignoring the obvious implications to their own myth.
They ignore the factual evidence that links all their fairy tales to previous fairy tales, concluding that those previous are simply poo-poo.
They ignore the real proven science that shows the history and evolution of religion throughout the world and how they came about, choosing instead to believe that a god that can create the world but is stymied by iron wheels is really a superior idea.
They laugh at the same fairy tales other religions have that are exactly the same as their own, but claim their fairy tales is right because god told them so.
But worse than all of this is the absolute absurdity that is the babble, which is so full of retarded concepts, ignorant ideas, and downright laughable plots that they appear to normal people to be complete morons.
Lastly, of course is simple simple observation and common sense. If one can grasp the shear vastness of space, realizing how utterly minute our entire galaxy is let alone our own solar system, the concept of a "god", is incredulous. But even more, that a god that would create such a magnitude would be befuddled by a womans period and actually decide that a woman should have her hand cut off for having the audacity to help save her husbands life by grabbing an attackers testicles, or even of more astonishment of such a powerful god...that to consider that tatoo's are an abomination to him, but he champions killing children and raping little girls.

No sir, you are a sick perverted pos that would consider THAT a god, and one to worship to boot. You are what makes humanity disgusting.

You can look all these issues up on the internet. There are Questions and Answers to the Bible to be found. Some of the insights might even astound you, if you are seeking understanding. However, when The United States dropped the BOMB on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, 100's and 1000's of seemingly innocent lives were consumed in an instant. It was a war and what Japan was doing and what she was continuing to do was evil. If not, then the attacks on mainland China and Pearl Harbor must have been a good thing to your way of thinking.

The rapes were against the will of God but the mandate that those involved had to marry those they raped was punishment and not a reward...

Oh I know. Personally, I'm rather inclined toward this guy's take on things. And I would be remiss were I to forget The Bible Reloaded and Attack the Text.

The idea that your religion is the only way to view Japan's actions as being war crimes simply proves how little you understand about secular morality. Given your propensity for ignoring everything you're told, however, I won't bother trying to educate you.

Right, so the punishment for raping a woman is to give you the exclusive right to fuck her now and forever. Makes perfect sense. /s

And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Psalm 55:23  ESV

But you, O God, will cast them down into the pit of destruction; men of blood and treachery shall not live out half their days. But I will trust in you.

Proverbs 11:16  ESV

A gracious woman gets honor, and violent men get riches.

Genesis 24:8  ESV

But if the woman is not willing to follow you, then you will be free from this oath of mine; only you must not take my son back there.”

Lamentations 5:11  ESV

Women are raped in Zion, young women in the towns of Judah.

Genesis 19:30-38  ESV

Now Lot went up out of Zoar and lived in the hills with his two daughters, for he was afraid to live in Zoar. So he lived in a cave with his two daughters. And the firstborn said to the younger, “Our father is old, and there is not a man on earth to come in to us after the manner of all the earth. Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve offspring from our father.” So they made their father drink wine that night. And the firstborn went in and lay with her father. He did not know when she lay down or when she arose. The next day, the firstborn said to the younger, “Behold, I lay last night with my father. Let us make him drink wine tonight also. Then you go in and lie with him, that we may preserve offspring from our father.” ...

Luke 17:28-30  ESV

Likewise, just as it was in the days of Lotâ€"they were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building, but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them allâ€" so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

Leviticus 18:19  ESV

“You shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness while she is in her menstrual uncleanness.

Judges 19:25-27  ESV

But the men would not listen to him. So the man seized his concubine and made her go out to them. And they knew her and abused her all night until the morning. And as the dawn began to break, they let her go. And as morning appeared, the woman came and fell down at the door of the man's house where her master was, until it was light. And her master rose up in the morning, and when he opened the doors of the house and went out to go on his way, behold, there was his concubine lying at the door of the house, with her hands on the threshold.

Exodus 22:16-17  ESV

“If a man seduces a virgin who is not betrothed and lies with her, he shall give the bride-price for her and make her his wife. If her father utterly refuses to give her to him, he shall pay money equal to the bride-price for virgins.

1 Kings 1:1-53  ESV

Now King David was old and advanced in years. And although they covered him with clothes, he could not get warm. Therefore his servants said to him, “Let a young woman be sought for my lord the king, and let her wait on the king and be in his service. Let her lie in your arms, that my lord the king may be warm.” So they sought for a beautiful young woman throughout all the territory of Israel, and found Abishag the Shunammite, and brought her to the king. The young woman was very beautiful, and she was of service to the king and attended to him, but the king knew her not. Now Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, “I will be king.” And he prepared for himself chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him. ...

2 Samuel 16:21  ESV

Ahithophel said to Absalom, “Go in to your father's concubines, whom he has left to keep the house, and all Israel will hear that you have made yourself a stench to your father, and the hands of all who are with you will be strengthened.”

2 Samuel 3:7-10  ESV

Now Saul had a concubine whose name was Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah. And Ish-bosheth said to Abner, “Why have you gone in to my father's concubine?” Then Abner was very angry over the words of Ish-bosheth and said, “Am I a dog's head of Judah? To this day I keep showing steadfast love to the house of Saul your father, to his brothers, and to his friends, and have not given you into the hand of David. And yet you charge me today with a fault concerning a woman. God do so to Abner and more also, if I do not accomplish for David what the Lord has sworn to him, to transfer the kingdom from the house of Saul and set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah, from Dan to Beersheba.”

2 Samuel 13:10-21  ESV

Then Amnon said to Tamar, “Bring the food into the chamber, that I may eat from your hand.” And Tamar took the cakes she had made and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother. But when she brought them near him to eat, he took hold of her and said to her, “Come, lie with me, my sister.” She answered him, “No, my brother, do not violate me, for such a thing is not done in Israel; do not do this outrageous thing. As for me, where could I carry my shame? And as for you, you would be as one of the outrageous fools in Israel. Now therefore, please speak to the king, for he will not withhold me from you.” But he would not listen to her, and being stronger than she, he violated her and lay with her. ...

Leviticus

19:20 And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; she shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.

Deuteronomy

22:23 If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;
22:24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.

22:28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
22:29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

While an exception is made for a betrothed woman that could not cry for help (i.e. out in the middle of nowhere), that hardly excuses killing her in any other circumstance where she remains quiet. Oh and the betrothed slave girl doesn't get killed, sure, but she still gets brutally whipped for something she was not free to resist; and whipping, in any case, can still lead to death by infection.

Actually, there are more people today embracing paganism then ever before. Christianity is a free relationship between God and man through Christ. Paganism is embracing special personal abilities and secret knowledge. A Christian on the other hand is very open about what he believes and happy to share it with anyone. The only delusional folks I observe are those who are out to prove God is not real and offer no happy alternative. Kind of like offering an empty basket to starving individuals.
But sir you are a pagan . You worship some death Jew executed as a human sacrifice. You are in a death pagan cult. You are a idolater by the way. Worshipping humans as gods is against the Torah. :azn: :azn: :azn: :azn:

And you hate to be proven wrong, otherwise you wouldn't be trying to suggest Jesus never existed without any historic validation. I pity you, because you have no future I'd ever desire.
How have you proven Mike wrong? Your two passages have completely different tones: Mat 25:5 was one of human remorse. Judas knew he had done wrong, putting his ill-gotten gains into the collection plate and hanging himself to attone. Acts 1:18 tells a story of an unrepentant Judas being struck down with God's justice. Your harmonization completely negates the both of them and makes a narrative mess of things â€" Judas was this dude who gave to the collection plate, bought some land, hung himself, then his rotting corpse burst open. What an emotionally empty story! You can't tell what the fuck Judas was even thinking! This is supposed to be the inspired word of God? Feh! How inspiring can it be when resolving the contradictions sucks the emotional life right out of it?

This is certainly not true. Historically, all hospitals, all universities, all colleges, all orphanages, all soup kitchens, all schools, were not founded by atheists.  Christians do realize that GOD is the is the motivator and instigator and the inspiration behind many of our institutions to encourage growth, maturity, and investigation.

QuoteAnd the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?
Exo 4:11

Apparently, God makes people deaf, dumb and blind so he can later be glorified by having his minions build hospitals for them.

God allows these handicaps to prove that all life is sacred. Everyone is capable of having a positive influence on those round about if God is the focus.

If G-d were universally beneficent ... that would be true (the last part).  But G-d is morally neutral ... G-d assists both sinners to do sinning and saints to act all superior to the sinners.  G-d confirms this in both the OT and NT.

If God is without sin, perfect, the light of the world, and love ---- He cannot be neutral. All have sinned and come short of God's glory. Saints are not superior to sinners. Saints are sinner whose sins have been covered.

Exactly, all of religion is a projection of self or of society ... it is a branch of psychology.
