I believe salvation comes by God through Christ. What exactly do you believe in --- where "science" lacks answers. The Bible is clearly where Atheists muster their attacks. They don't seem to waste their time disproving other religions.

I don't 'believe' in anything.  I use reason and thinking, not unsupported belief.  You can 'believe' that Santa exists, but the fact is that he does not.  I don't think any god/gods exist; no religion is teaching the 'truth'; all are wrong.  The supernatural does not exist; all that is, is natural.  God/gods had nothing to do with it.  Christianity is as wrong as all the others; it's just that most on this board have the most interaction with christians.  As far as I'm concerned, all are wrong.

You claim that life required something magical to get started. Why don't you give us some evidence that is true? From my perspective the existence of life isn't that special. It doesn't violate any physical laws. It doesn't need anything special.

The evidence says that you and the chimps at the local zoo are both descendants of another species that lived a few million years ago. It says an earlier species was the ancestor of you, chimps and gorillas. Before that there was an ancestor of you, chimps, gorillas and rats. Before that there was an ancestor of you, chimps, gorillas, rats and lizards. Before that it was you, chimps, gorillas, rats, lizards and fish. Before that it was you, chimps, gorillas, rats, lizards, fish and fucking bananas. If god created our species why are we related to fucking bananas? You'd think the SOB could have at least skipped that step.

Nobody cares what you believe. Why should we believe that your religion is true when there are countless others out there to pick from, some of which are much older than Christianity? The burden of proof is not on us to prove that God doesn't exist, it's on you to prove that he does. I could say that I believe that all of Earth's nations are secretly led by an alien race of reptilian shapeshifters, and would you be able to prove me wrong? No. And it doesn't matter that you can't because the burden of proof would be on me to prove that my assertion is true, not on you to disprove it.

I at least see God working through various people and in my own life to bring closure and meaning to all this. I don't see you producing one rational reason why anyone should wish to see tomorrow let alone enjoy getting old.

I don't particularly want to wish to see tomorrow.  And I do not enjoy growing old.  But G-d has little to do with it.  Being a human being is rough, particularly because we suffer fear of tomorrow and regret for the past.  Christians can white-wash their regret for the past ... but others make a similar claim.  In that way, you could consider them therapeutic, in a psychosomatic fashion.

On love, I am glad you have some.  But it isn't the love you receive that counts, but the love that you give.  If you think that Jesus helps you with that ... I have no problem ... the result is more important than the rationalization (don't tell the egg head philosophers).
