Should I stay in Murica, or move to Canada, Uk, Norway, or Sweden.
If I moved to Uk I would be involved in marches to protest their shitty government.

I would move to Norway, but I like the outdoors. For culture the UK.

Moving isn't as easy as you think: everyone wants to live in these countries and they have rigorous entry and citizenship rules. Also, idealizing cultures at a distance doesn't help make up for culture shock and the fact that xenophobia exists everywhere. Many in those countries have preconceived ideas of Americans and many of those ideas aren't kind. Of course they won't outright hate you like they would in a Middle Eastern country for example, but it doesn't mean you'd be warmly welcomed.

In short, the grass is always greener on the other side.
How can you be sure my refusal to agree with your claim a symptom of my ignorance and not yours?

Could be a good adventure to see that Europe is not what it looks like from across the pond. Esp. UK. The choices of countries you threw together are very different in many ways to choose from.

Norway or Sweeden are worlds away from UK-US and Canada is in between, closer to the US with better gender equality. If you want real change, move to Sweden or Norway.

A warning though. Sweeden and Norway are feminist countries. What pisses off you in the US which exists in little scale, is the already accepted social contract there.

Our government might be shitty, but our fish and chips are delicious.

And then... there are the seagulls -_-

Where do you live in America?  I ask because some places are better than others.  But if your spot is intolerable for whatever reason, by all means, move to someplace in America more to your liking.

Imo, seagulls are only tolerable if they're actually by the sea.  I saw some in a parking lot in Oklahoma devouring some trash and immediately started to regard them as a pest species.

There are land gulls ... but they are closely related to sea gulls.

I would think that Canada would be nice for trans folk ... but not if you were in the Western part (aside from BC).  Ontario has the most culture, particularly Toronto.  Montreal or Quebec City if you want a challenge.

They're known as flying rats around here.  That said, if you lace their food with baking soda it reacts quite violently with the acid in their intestines and their guts come hurtling out of their ass as they are flying along.  Fun for children of all ages.   :13:

Are you running from something or to something? I find it better to run to something.

Travel to some of these places and visit more than the tourist areas.

kilodelta

I agree with GSO. Travel. Go to a variety of countries. Get a good amount of world experience. You'll then not have to ask people where you should live. You'll know.

Norway and Sweden hate foreigners. UK likes foreigners too much.

Go Canada, and just steer clear of the French speaking areas. Those French Canadians will piss in your mouth if you let on that you're American.
And on the wings of a dream so far beyond reality
All alone in desperation now the time has come
Lost inside you'll never find, lost within my own mind
Day after day this misery must go on

They'll say sorry afterwards though, right?  As someone distantly related to the quebecois, I have this (probably unrealistic) idea that they're super nice as long as you don't hate on hockey or maple syrup or insinuate that Ontario is better.
