If the question is around fear, then perhaps not so much although I will point out that public school policies have been altered over the past couple of decades in america so that crazy shit like a 6 year old child bringing a water pistol to school results in him getting arrested by the police and expelled. So theres a certain amount of irrational fear of children there.

But I was really thinking more of the general disapproval that baby boomers have toward everyone who belongs to any generation that succeeded them.

So then you aren't British?  Every generation disapproves of those who come after ... you will get your turn, just be patient ;-)

What is more serious (even in the US, let alone Europe) is that management (my generation usually) don't want to employ Millennials (outside of Asia), nor do we want to draft them to get rid of them in some rice paddy in Asia (as they did with the older members of my generation).  What else can they do, but turn to crime or suicide?  Attitudes don't matter ... as long as you don't get the bad side of bigotry.  We have been bad mouthing our fellow Americans since WW II, and it shows ;-((
