Not particularly, throughout the world, blue is typically associated with conservatism.

In the United States, during the painfully long 2000 presidential election, the media created lots of color-coded maps showing which states went for Bush and which states went for Gore.  Some reporters used blue for Gore and red for Bush and some did vice versa, but eventually, Democrat-leaning states were known as "Blue states" and Republican-leaning states were "Red states".  Blue is now associated with the Democrats and red with the Republicans.

And this lumping leads people to think that everybody in a Red or Blue state is a Republican or a Democrat. Most elections are decided by a few percentage points.
We 'new atheists' have a reputation for being militant, but make no mistake  we didn't start this war. If you want to place blame put it on the the religious zealots who have been poisoning the minds of the  young for a long long time."

States that are undecided, were colored purple.

Fascism, including Nazism ... were black.  Hence Black Shirts.  The Germans couldn't get with the program until after Hitler purged the Brown Shirts using the SS .. who wore black uniforms.
