How dare he slander one of the world's chosen people? And an (ex) 'Palestinian Leader' at that.
Blasphemy.

The story of the first Grand Mufti of British Palestine (it was British then) is a sad story.  The British commissioner then was a total dick.  And his chosen appointee (the Palestinians didn't get to vote) was an even bigger dick ... but no ... the German assholes don't need Palestinian assholes to tell them how to think.

So did Netanyahu mis-speak?  He surely knows better.  But yes, the Palestinians who supported that Grand Mufti were assholes, just like the Germans who supported Hitler were assholes.  And most of the people alive back then are dead now ... which is the least punishment they deserve.

PS - the editorial cartoon is assholery, just like a previous one about Jews in Hollywood.  And I totally despise Netanyahu.

What are you doing?
Are you taking any medications?
Don't do that.

As I wrote in this thread, http://atheistforums.com/index.php?topic=8619.msg1097856#msg1097856, "Of course the right- wing factions on both sides benefit from this. The Palestinian armed resistance begets the Israeli Right retaliation, which begets more Palestinian armed resistance, which begets... It's a never ending cycle of violence." This is what's happening, as the violence is presently rising, the right-wing factions on both the Israeli and Palestinian side stand to gain. Bibi is just responding to that by appealing to the right-wing base. The Mufti affair has been in Israeli culture for decades. He just made it public. Probably took a page from Trump and spoke his mind. He miscalculated with backlash from international indignation. In the past, that didn't bother the Israelis, but with tensed relation between Bibi and Obama, this little temper outbreak was not needed.

He was making a political move plain and simple, associate your enemies with your historic boogeyman, he was at Zionist convention and there is no evidence of his statements being true.
