Quote. Either A: Hillary, who may be another continuation of the obama ministration...

Doubtful. She is an asshole, a corporate/banker shill and not all that unseperatable from the run-of-the-mill Republican. The only advantage that makes her the lesser of two evils is she should be socially a bit more progressive.

QuoteThe difference is that Trump gets things done, and that's why he attracts huge crowds - I wouldn't even call these people who show up as "electors", more like "fans".

Like what?

Seriously, look at all his "policies"... he has ideas, but he refuses to expand on even the most basic way of how he will get it done. And besides Mexicans, how much do we actually know about what he wants to do? Shit all. His entire campaign has been, "I'm not Obama, I hate Mexicans, America is great, Woohoo!".

This is painfully accurate...

The world is full of people who get things done. Being an unapologetic doer-of-things is kind of a hallmark of most dictators. But what has Trump done other than get married three times, go bankrupt three times, get sued literally hundreds of times and produce the Apprentice?
How can you be sure my refusal to agree with your claim a symptom of my ignorance and not yours?

Funny little thing to bring up, but worth mentioning, despite it being fiction. Playing world of warcraft, years ago they removed the passive leader of the horde, Thrall, and replaced him with an aggressive leader, Garrosh, and there was a fixed reception. People prefered a character like Thrall because he wanted to aim for peace, but others wanted Garrosh because, as they said back then "He got things done", being that he went to war, killed people, caused tension in his own faction, and even killed one of the hordes oldest leaders in combat.
Years on, that same leader that "got things done" ended up the villain of the story, and a final boss in an expansion, and him finally being killed off the following expansion.

This bizarre attitude of people loving characters, regardless of if they are intelligent, genuine or trustworthy, doesn't matter with them, all that matters with people is "They get things done", which is the attitude of trump supporters.

Hey, elect him. Put him up against a hard core trained killer like Putin and see how he deal makes that shit. I don't fucking care any more.

For now I'm sticking with Bernie Sanders. Trump is a showman, nothing more.
All hail my new signature!

Admit it. You're secretly green with envy.

That would be the match of the century.

Betcha anything that Putin would end up buying Trump brand name.

QuoteU.S. tycoon Donald Trump, while in Moscow for the finale of his Miss Universe pageant Saturday, announced that he was planning to build a skyscraper in the Russian capital.

"I have plans to start business in Russia," Trump said, Itar-Tass reported, "I am currently in talks with several Russian companies to build a skyscraper on the model of Trump Tower in New York." The businessman did not name his partners or the size of the investment.

Trump Tower, located on 5th Avenue, is 58 stories high and contains offices, apartments and a hotel.

Araz Agalarov, the billionaire owner of Crocus City Hall, the Miss Universe venue, said his company had "started talking about joint work in the field of real estate a few days ago" with Trump.

Until Trump declared as running for the Republican nomination, he was pro-choice, he was in favor of gun control, and he recently got in trouble for daring to come out in favor of higher taxes on the rich.  He's not much of a Republican, and why he's running as one is a mystery to me.

Well, not too much of a mystery.

He looks and acts a lot like a Democrat caricature of a Republican, and the average Republican is just dim enough to fall for it as well.  But there are a few interesting results that may come up.

One of the Socialist parties has declared that they are going to nominate Bernie.  He didn't ask for it, he said he doesn't want to run third party, but they're nominating him anyway.  So he could split the vote on that side.  Trump signed a pledge saying that he won't go third party and will support the Republican nominee - too bad the other Republicans haven't been forced to sign a companion pledge about supporting Trump.

Trump actually could make it under those circumstances.

I think he'd be a disaster, but I don't see any candidates that won't be a disaster.  Some will be less of one, some will be more of one, but all will be.

What I see is step 9 on the Road to Serfdom.  All the competing central planners cannot agree with each other, cannot work together, and as a result all the central plans fail to work out.  This causes frustration in the populace, who then clamor for a "Strong Man" who can "Make Things Work."

This might be why Trump, who could run in either party, chose the Republicans.  They are, at their core, more nationalistic, and he is riding on "finding someone outside to blame" on the road to the top.  Running on blaming the rich, a common Democrat tactic, has the problem of blaming an internal enemy instead of an external enemy.
