Watching "Laura", 1944, American film noir. Wow, Gene Tierney was stunningly beautiful. Vincent Price is my favorite actor of all time. An incredibly interesting person as well. I have his cookbook.

Movies had to rely heavily on scripts and clever dialog back then. They were almost like live stage, a different artform than movies of today. When I was much younger, I thought all black and white films were boring until I saw films like "Casablanca" and "The Birds". Of course, the "Three Stooges" was an exception.

The Stooges taught me not to take everything so seriously. I found that in the heat of big money, corporate situations that nothing breaks the tension and brings people back to Earth like a little Stooges quote or antic.

Someone once told me that the Stooges mock stupid people. I replied that they are just representing stupid people. He didn't understand. He was a stupid people.
We 'new atheists' have a reputation for being militant, but make no mistake  we didn't start this war. If you want to place blame put it on the the religious zealots who have been poisoning the minds of the  young for a long long time."

It takes extreme smarts to play extreme stupidity.

One person generates stupidity blindly, the other creates stupidity without really knowing what it's like.

The Birds was in color.
Oh yeah, I was also thinking about "night of the living dead". That one gave me nightmares.

Wasn't 1963 a year after the year Rachel Carson came out with Silent Spring?

Well, when the bug fogger truck came down our street, all us kids would ride our bikes in the fog while our parents laughed as they smoked their Camels and drank martinis.

So you knew how to make Zombies even then?
