What is the single most stupid, batshit story in the Bible?

I think the Bible is a beautiful book. As long as you don't take it as seriously as the believers do. And it wasn't written today for us to understand it as we think about stuff now. It's old and it has (as far as the new Testament is concerned) been adapted to the Roman world. As the NT is interesting in itself, I like the OT with it's vindictive God but also it's history (Kings and Chronicles, Judges even) better. But that's just me....
