Lot. Of Sodom & Gomorrah. Such a "godly" man, that in order to avoid having "obviously" angels raped by townsfolk, he offered up his OWN DAUGHTERS.

His. Own. Kids.

Who later, got him drunk (!! really?), and got pregnant themselves. Bitches be ho's, even in the old testament. They should never have exposed their ankles to such a man of god.....consequences, people!

Daughters of Lot ... they thought the world had been destroyed, and that they had to make a taboo sacrifice (incest) to repopulate the world.  Mistaken heroines really.

Except that no biblically retold story was about the daughters. At all. The bible retells only Lot, and his salty wife. THAT, in and of itself, is all sorts of batshit.

The offspring were the ancestors of the Moabites and Ammonites.  Their stories died with them, when the Israelites/Judahites destroyed them.

So....Lot's daughters, that stepped up to the plate after Mom died in Soddom, like good little biblical females, had enough sex with their father to spawn off an entire people in the Moabites and the Ammonites.

Bat. Shit.

We all know how primer pedophiles work these days, and you have to be curious about such a god awful story (pardon the pun) that results in enough offspring to name an entire people, as included in the story of what the bible itself calls a GODLY man. Told from Lot's side, naturally.

(sarcasm) Was Lot a Duggar?

Didn't the offspring of Adam and Eve had to have incestuous relationships in order to propagate the species?

Biblically yes, Extrabiblically it was mating with the Nephelim.  Even the analysis of an Iron Age Bedouin, would have told him that the majority of humanity, before and after the Flood ... were more Nephelim than Adamic ... even Abraham.

So one problem one has as a student of history of culture, is that the record is spotty.  Another problem is that what is still available for study is is often partisan ... the mean survival is biased.  The evidence is that the Israelites and Judahites prior to the Babylonian Exile were polytheists, and that forms of polytheism must have survived underground after the imposition of the first Zionism by Ezra.  The sources used to create a monotheism by Ezra, were largely royal and sacerdotal (priestly) ... and atypical (the messianism of King Josiah happened just before the Exile, and was atypical).  Another problem is that most people interested in the Bible, will ignore the first two problems, will ignore the actual archeological record (support for the Bible narrative is minimal) and bring their own agenda to their analysis (apologetic or polemic).  Our recent Catholic poster is an example of that conventional abuse of sources.  What is persistent, is that these writings, are the products of human psychology, a psychology that persists to this day ... hence the continued valuation of these fictional narratives over say Greek mythology (which is a fine thing too).  Naturally, given the variation in humans ... not everyone is intrigued by this stuff.  My own interest is modest.

In the mating ritual, the majority of partners were Nephelim aka fallen angels aka demons.  So yes, I did indirectly answer your question.  The hearts of humans have always turned toward evil at every opportunity, so says Genesis anyway.  That is the influence of the Nephelim.

Genesis 6 says otherwise: man first multiply...

Quote
6 When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. 3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not abide in[a] man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” 4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.

And then the Nephilim came after when they saw the daughters were attractive.

Yes, if you neglect the extra-Biblical material, like Lilith being Adam's first wife.

Is  the extra-Biblical material God's words? If not, it doesn't count.

Since my words are god's words then if I say there is no god then everyone should listen to me. :c017:

Yes ... we should ... I mean that literally.  But we are humanoid realistic gods, like Greek mythology i.e. Heracles, not G-d like in Abrahamic religion.  So which of your "labors" are you on?  The Greco-Romans are the basic element of our Western civilization, the Judeo-Christian is just icing on the Pagan cake.
