the unpardonable sin

It is as Baruch said, best interpreted as rejection of the Holy Spirit. But the Holy Spirit is not here to teach of Himself, rather teach us about Jesus. So the unpardonable sin is rejecting Jesus.

Then, since Jesus and the Holy Spirit is God in different forms. The unpardonable sin is ultimately rejection of God.

Rejection of God is a build up. It is never instant like with the angels. Our yes is yesish and no, noish. None of us that are alive right now are truly evil in His eyes. None of us alive right now have fully rejected Him. God still has hope for all of us.

That is how I understand it. Isn't suicide another? A lot of Christians seem to think so.
I would like to hear their argument. The best I can imagine is that murder is a mortal sin and no murderers will be in heaven.

But it is easily debunkable. Someone who murders is not necessarily a murderer. The plural 'er' implies continuing in it and unrepentant. I would agree that it is a mortal sin. But nowhere near the unpardonable sin.

I think I did, I fucked a lesbian and fell in love with her, and have been in hell for thirty years with a broken heart. Who the fuck came up with this idea of sin? Some prudish male camel jockey that hated women perhaps?
There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action.

I just hear from Christians they don't want to commit suicide because they fear they will not see their loved ones in heaven.

Quote[Someone who murders is not necessarily a murderer./quote]

:wtff: That is ridiculous because it is a contradiction in terms. By definition a murderer is someone who murders. A contradiction in logic cannot be true. It doesn't make any difference how many times murder is committed to make it a murder.  It may make it a sin to do it more than once, but I would think it is a sin the first time it is done and not justified. Please take a course in logic and critical thinking, so you don't keep showing everyone here how bad, or neurotic, your thinking is!

You have simply taken my words out of context. It is like me quoting you saying ''It doesn't make any difference how many times murder is committed''.....and then typing a few lines proving to you why it does matter.

The context of the verse from Paul quoted has to do with us dying in a state of evil. Having a heart 'sold out' to the sin.

''Someone who murders is not necessarily a murderer'' = A child who kills her rapist is not sold out to murder. Oscar Pretorious is ''likely'' not sold out to murder for his one. A serial killer who repents truthfully is no longer a murderer. Like I said Paul ensured he made it plural for a reason. He did not say you murdered and will not be in heaven. He said you are a murderer / you are murdering.

Are you really so dense you don't understand that self defense or justified homicide, is not murder? I did not take it out of context, you have by not understanding the difference between murder and justified homicide which is not murder. How old are you?

My God, how can you not see if you did that it would show I was wrong if you proved it. Your quoting the Buybull is not evidence or proof. Can you even think for yourself? You are pathetic if you are an adult, and if you aren't then you are misinformed by religious bull shit! Why did you even come her? You are not preaching to the choir here, and most of us here know Scripture better than even clergy, because we don't pick and choose and never skip like they do in Buybull classes.

That which doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. You basically did the kid a favor.
That's such drivel.. Taking a leak in the shower won't kill you either,  but you never hear about pissing in the shower in workout videos. .
All hail my new signature!

Admit it. You're secretly green with envy.

That is not where the evidence is pointing.

Does anyone think they've committed the unpardonable sin that's mentioned in the bible?

It seems to be attributing Jesus's work to a demon.

I thought the unpardonable sin was blasphemy against the holy ghost?

Baruch

The church has been suppressing the holy ghost for 2000 years now.  Part of the reason for creating bishops, was to shut that holy spirit stuff off.  Gas leaks are dangerous.

Having pineapple chunks on pizza..
That is an abomination in the eyes of the lord.

Baruch

Pineapple and ham on pizza is OK.  But not anchovies.  I transgress ... because I love anchovies on pizza.  Anybody want to join me?
