This is how I see it.  Ranting only causes a hardening of positions.  If you are Atheist, taking strong positions against the religious only hardens their positions.  And this is why they come back after us.  The result is that we sever the lines of communication and viewpoints become ever more polarized as we see today.  So clearly being more rational than the religious mind, what can we do to try to resolve this?

We should demand they read their babble to their kids every night and not miss a single verse. That should add about 250,000 atheists to the party.

I think you misunderstand. Christians read a broken down, cherry picked version of the bible to their kids. They don't read a full bloody, cruel and inconsistent mess the book and its stories has.

Also, I think it could two ways, either you would open people up to realizing how fucking stupid there holy book is, or your would breed young psychotic minds into the children who think now its okay to rape and cut up women, that its okay to kill people because god will tell them to stop if its wrong, or that owning slaves is acceptable.

You've started almost the exact same thread 3 times, we get it.
Please don't take anything I say seriously.

then not only are you deluded, but your list of "friends" is very narrow. I know of no one among my christian friends who read the babble to their kids, they, like my parents, send them to sunday school to be spoon fed all the nice stuff..the bunny rabbits and flowers stuff.

Then this is probably not a very good idea.

Oh, I get it.  But considering all the stuff the kids have already been exposed to  they would probably go to sleep.  Maybe we need another movie but this time it needs to be based more on what really happened.

That's just it, Giveme, nothing in the bible really happened.  So, how can you have a movie about what really happened in the bible, when the bible is almost completely fiction?  Shall we have a movie about the real life and times of the Toothfairy?  Or the Invisible Pink Unicorn??  It would be as accurate as one based on the bible.  Have you read the bible--any of it?  If you have, what in that book do you think is real?????

I really couldn't care less.  I was suggesting a movie based on what it literally really says.  And I was thinking of making the fundamentalists watch it since they love to refer to the Bible as literal truth.

As most of the atheists I know became such after reading the babble, my suggestion is easier, simply ask them all to read the babble to their kids every night and don't skip the nasty parts.

Only if your knocking door to door and ramming it down people's throats. Other wise if they bring it be prepared to have it dished right back out.

The only thing that will abolish religion is education lots and lots of education. That and maybe they should teach critical thinking in school.
