For everyone that thinks homosexuals and lesbians or transexuals have a choice.

There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action.

Very interesting read. As suspected, there isn't a "single step" when it comes to assigning the brain and body with sexual/gender characteristics. The more steps in the process, the more likely atypical development can occur, which would explain why humans do not adhere strictly to the "normal" gender roles.

Whenever someone tells me it's a choice, I ask them to prove it by choosing to be gay for a year.

I've had no takers.

I asked my brother to try it for a week - nope! A year is a big ask for such a significant change. I think you can safely assume that there will still be zero takers for a one week trial.
Q for theists; how can there be freewill and miracles? And, how can prayer exist in an environment as regimented as "gods plan"?

If some guy told me that being gay is a choice, I'd tell him to suck my dick.

You know what makes me so mad about all this? Even if it had been a choice, what the fuck it is to anyone else? If two people want to eat shit in candle light holding hands, their heads shaved wearing pink tutus, what the fuck it is to a third party? It's nobody's business as long as there is consent between them and no harm to others. Nobody has a right to be 'offended' by it.

Questioning someone for something like this is only about the person who does the questioning, who claims to be 'offended' by it. And that's a fucking lie. They do not get offended, they like to make this a never ending topic, because it makes them feel 'normal', 'proper' as they see it and they are just confirming, affirming their delusional idenitity.

You don't really know if you're gay or not until you've tried it.
We 'new atheists' have a reputation for being militant, but make no mistake  we didn't start this war. If you want to place blame put it on the the religious zealots who have been poisoning the minds of the  young for a long long time."

Though the biological basis for it is only just now (within the last few decades) really begun to be explored, I don't understand people who use the argument that it isn't "natural" when so many other species exhibit homosexual behavior. In nature we've documented everything from gay dolphins to gay snails and almost everything in between.
How can you be sure my refusal to agree with your claim a symptom of my ignorance and not yours?

You gotta admit that eating shit by candle light in a pink tutu is a tad out of the ordinary.  Personally I haven't tried it and furthermore not likely to try. I'm just not going to shave my head. .
All hail my new signature!

Admit it. You're secretly green with envy.

Oh but in their delusion, we humans are god's special creatures dropped from the sky. We are not 'animals', we have 'souls'. Or for other nonreligious bigots, it's the same in different terms. The whole evolutionl process on the land was to get us and we are 'perfect' like a fucking square. Anything out of that square is 'perverse', 'unnatural'. After all even aliens are after us, they keep abducting people to probe, dance, have sex. Everyone is after humans!

I'll shave my head, you bring the tutus. I like my shit warm and potato chips on the side. Red wine? I'll get the candles. See, it became a sweet, ordinary occasion. Every Saturday night.

Just imagine if there was only heterosexuality and nothing else. Our overpopulation would be so much worse.

Why do you guys care what others sleep with whom?

They don't. They don't like that religious people do.

Sometimes I wish being gay was a choice. It'd make getting over break-ups a hell of a lot easier.
