Billion + believe in Satan. Should all schools be mandated to teach Creationism?

We must save our children from foolish belief in the supernatural.

Education is the only tool that we have to drag ourselves and our children out of ignorance and superstition and that education should include that it is foolish to read myth literally. No more Dark Ages should be allowed.

Comparative Religion should be taught to insure that no child is lost to creationist intellectual dissonance. We must expose our children to Comparative Religion as soon as they can understand Evolution which would be taught alongside of it.

To do less would be shirking our duty to our children and their young minds. If you do not supports this type of all-inclusive education, please show why you oppose it?

Remember that when President Bush backed up stem cell research, it gave other countries a chance to advance away from the U.S. and hurt the U.S economy.

If the U.S. fails to educate it’s children properly in Comparative Religion and Evolution --- and the various sciences that stem from it, --- the U.S. will shrink it’s economy and power as compared to those countries who have a fuller and more intelligent education program.

Do you agree that it is the duty of the U.S. education system to maintain a first world standard of education in the teaching of Creationism, Comparative Religion and Evolution, --- and catch up to more intelligent countries?

That's a no brainer, of course we should. Knowledge should be based on reliable evidence, not mere speculations from 2,000  year old books that are out of date. I think all knowledge is good, and why I raised my two boys as Catholics, and with science and mathematics. One came home from Church at 14, and said that it wasn't logical what they are teaching, and the other left at 15, because it was ridiculous to him. Not only should comparative religion be taught, as well as myths, but the very first subject should be rational and logical thinking skills. I think it's Ok for children up six years old be told fairy tails, but after that they should know they are just that: fairy tails from people's imaginations, and not real. Solitary

No.
Quoteand catch up to more intelligent countries?
Yes.

Teaching Creotardism won't help the US catch up with anybody except Lesotho. And it's not like you people don't have a venue, there are 27 channels devoted exclusively to religion on DISH network alone.

And, if I may ask, how many forums have you spammed this on, Herr Post und Lauf?

Teaching comparative religion is a good idea, and that would include the central beliefs and history of the major religions.
Teaching science is also a good idea and in the US it should also be taught that creationism is not science. Most other developed countries don't need to do this because it is an American problem.
Critical thinking skills should also be taught in school. Humans are emotional creatures that can learn to think more rationally, but that requires effort and rational thinking has rules that need to be learned and errors that need to be avoided.

Nonsense, let me tell you how I know about Jesus Christ......a few years ago I was a drugged up addict selling my body for whatever i could get just to get another fix....one night after not having enough to buy my fix I fell into the damn street drain and there I cried and I asked Jesus to come same me and then,,WHAMMO jest like that, I felt the presense of Jesus come over me telling me I would be okay and I cried and professed my love and devotion....from then on...I was saved...mind you it still took a year and a half to overcome my addiction and I still sold my body and did drugs until the day I was arrested and put in jail where I couldn't get drugs no more and started my recovery...but DAT was gods plan all along. See?

Surely they should all be teaching Satanism if that's what the majority believe.

I believe a basic overview of a culture's religious beliefs should be taught so that students can understand the history of a country or civilization.  However, anything deeper should be left to the purveyors of such bullshit that exist outside of the educational system.  Furthermore, I think the role of the Catholic Church as a source of corruption, hate, and repression throughout history should be emphasized rather that completely glossed over.

I think if schools are forced to accept Islam, a faith that promotes paedophilia, on children, then Satanism should be made available to students too.

That would be fine, but it's still important to teach kids what is going on in the world. I can't see teaching history and skipping over the bad stuff.
