Preface:  I was a Christian when my kids were born, but have since converted to atheism.  We don't go to church.  I haven't specifically told them my views, I'm just letting them form their own opinions as kids, just like how I let them believe in Santa.  But when they're older and they ask me, I won't hesitate to tell them what I believe and why.

My 8yo son: "Dad, you're the best daddy that god made"

My 6yo daughter with a puzzled look on her face: "God didn't make him, grandma did"

Solitary

That was cute! Smart little girl.

One thing you learn as a parent is that children are a lot smarter and more perceptive than you think they are. All my children became atheists long before I did. Both my older grand children are also atheists, in every case by choice. I was wise enough as a parent to let them decide for themselves.

This could be the ultimate expression of girls becoming smarter years ahead of boys.
