It sucks. Not because he's dead, but because where I lived he had his hands involved in just about everything. EVERYTHING! So for the next few days all I'm going to see on Facebook or hear around is "oh no the Chick Fil A guy is dead blah blah blah Gawd!". I should really just become a hermit.

It was his son who made the infamous quote that started the controversy, but the entire family, Truett in particular, are/were known for being hyper religious.

It's never been an appealing name for me either.  Chicks are too tiny to fillet.  You have to eat them whole, bones and beaks.  I've never stopped there either.

I ate a bit at CFA when I was a poor, starving college student with very little variety in my diet. I stopped going there one Sunday when I had missed breakfast at the caf, and found them closed. I had to eat at McDonalds. Bleah.

Sunday was the diciest day in terms of meals. If I couldn't depend on them for my Sunday meals (especially breakfast), then fuck 'em.

I didn't find out until much later about their religious bullshit.
