Oh yessssss.

Been alternating between a reading of Clarke's Rendezvous with Rama and miscellaneous David Bowie tracks -- RIP, Ziggy.

I have a bootleg Grateful Dead concert on TAPE, cassette, from the late 70's I have been holding on to for no other reason than to give to a big fan. Better give them a tape player, also, because how cruel otherwise......

I'm back to Muse' Drones album tonight:

And, actually, Bring Me The Horizon held one of my most favorite new band songs in Shadow Moses, and decided to switch to more pop-like stuff recently, with much ado.

Guess what, though? I don't hate their new stuff? I know, I was surprised as well. My teen children have sworn them off, though, this switch was not welcome. Maybe in a few years.....?

@JB - MAn.... I haven't heard BMTH in ages. That brings back memories.

I'm going to be completely honest... the combination of musical and physical (and I don't mean in a "sexy" way... just... physical...) beauty in ice skating always brings me to the verge of tears. Of all the *sports* (though I believe it is truly an art form) in the world... ice skating hits me like none other. And the Russians just do it like none other can. I post this here because their movement is as much a aural experience as it is a visual... a visual extension to the aural experience if you will.

And what is Russian ice skating without starting with Plushenko?

And of course, can't hit the 80's without the Rick Roll (1988) (I was 14, totally owned this tape)

Of course, it was not long after I got the Astley tape, that I was taken to a "Rock is Evil" showcase by New England's finest fundie Christians, which was the very first place I heard my new BFFs, Black Sabbath and The Rolling Stones and Zeppelin, etc.....

I was absolutely addicted to this band a few years ago but only listened to one of their albums... I really missed some good music.
