When I was on USS Peleliu (LHA-5) I had to work "meal-to-meal", meaning I went on watch, got off watch, ate (the current meal), then went to bed. They woke me up in time to eat before going on  watch and starting the cycle again. Four meals a day, including DIY sandwiches at midnight. This will cross the Pacific at 13.2 mph.
