I would argue that "men" IS the species. Especially in settings where there are multiple humanoid races, like elves, orcs, etc, "men" typically means "humans."

But besides that, this devil is really bad at his one job. He didn't ask for a price or anything. lol

It says "discount wishes" so I assume the cost is upfront.  Also, the devil's been down on his luck lately and just doesn't have his heart in it like he used to.  Lost his fiddle, lost his antique store, and though he's the co-author of the extremely rare book The Nine Gates of the Kingdom of Shadows, it really went down in value due to rampant forgeries and apparently a bookkeeper who ought to know better smoking on it and an unknown person tearing some of the pages out.

His rebound was a "web 4.0" e-commerce website that was bought by Google but then Google backed out and sued him and Google won (turns out you can win all sorts of court cases if the judge's websearch redirects to a google image page with nothing but pictures of their family) which wiped him out.  Technically, he still has a combination of land and real estate in Paradise, Nevada and Newark, New Jersey.  Also, some lingering royalty payments from Black Metal albums and Mexican hot sauce, but it's a pitiful amount.
